The method of release of nuclear energy often takes place in huge devices called reactors.

Nuclear energy also contains electromagnetic radiations such as alpha, beta, and gamma rays. In today’s era, nuclear energy is already in great use, and its demand will surely amplify in the future or the upcoming years.

Nuclear energy has already proved to sustain agriculture which further produces the food we intake. Considering the population growth around the world and the natural disasters we are struck by now and then, it necessary to utilize overall support to prevent food shortages and malnutrition.

Hence, nuclear energy is an efficient option to cater to both malnutrition and food shortages too. Considering this, the demand for nuclear energy will significantly increase in the upcoming years.

Nuclear energy has been successful in food sustainability through various methods and techniques. For example, fertilizers have been labeled with a nitrogen-15 isotope to analyze the plant’s amount and prevent excess fertilizer.

Plant mutation breeding is another process to obtain desired plantlets by exposing the seeds and cuttings of the plant to radiations, inducing mutation, and achieving the desired breed through this radiation.

As the world is progressing, industrialization is increasing rapidly. In the coming decades, labor or manual power will be reduced to a minimum, and technology, together with automation, will take over. Considering the importance of industrialization and technology, nuclear energy will play an essential role in the upcoming decade.

The field of medicine is vast and broad. Many surgeries today are conducted through specific machines which operate through nuclear energy or technologies. The world is progressing, new diseases and conditions are coming into being, and they need distinguishing solutions to provide real value.

Nuclear energy is beneficial today for the functioning of specific machines like MRI, CT scan, and X-rays. Researchers are in the process of new diseases like thyroid cysts and thyroid nodules. Until now, radioisotopes from nuclear energy have been identified as a potential substance for diagnosing thyroid issues.

The manual sterilization process is decreasing day by day. Sterilization through nuclear energy and isotopes is increasing as it requires less workforce and is rapid.

In addition to this, specific cancer therapies such as chemotherapy also require nuclear energy. Hence, the upcoming decade will have greater demand for nuclear energy than the present decade.

Water Sustainability and Nuclear Energy

Individuals usually hear that water is scarce on Earth. It is better to preserve what we have and find other alternatives as well. To find other alternatives, we have to identify the source. This is possible through nuclear energy.

Isotope hydrology techniques are efficient enough to trace and locate underground water resources. Water can be obtained and can further be desalinated by nuclear energy to make it potable drinking water.

Nuclear processes can be critical in both processed and add massive value to humanity.

Many countries do not generously follow this process; however, in future years, when the world faces scarcity of water, the utilization of nuclear processes to sustain water will likely be in observation.

Environmental Sustainability

Our environment is constantly diminishing due to the incorporation of various pollutants and over consumption. This harms various mammals and ecosystems and gives rise to many diseases, most commonly respiratory and skin diseases.

To keep the environment safe, clean, and secure, it is inevitable to eliminate harmful pollutants such as sulfur dioxide and nitrous oxide.

The demand for nuclear energy and general processes will surely increase to detect and analyze pollutants in the next decade.
